Mitchell & Webb Look - Shit or not Shit?

Oooh, and that's a BAD miss.

I like Mitchell and Webb. Sure it is a bit hit and miss, but most of everything on telly is absolute shite. At least they have a few genuinely creative and clever moments.

It's a bit average, but it has it's moments. i.e. that Sky Sports sketch.

Subversplat - don't be dissing my Dawn!

Better than most sketch shows of recent times - at least they try and bring a bit of variety along with the regular skits, unlike Little Shitan for example...

I enjoyed the Homeopathic A&E sketch last night. Trying to treat a car crash victim by checking his chakras and prescribing crystals. Later the doctors, having lost the patient, are seen in the pub, drinking homeopathic lager (water with a tiny drop of beer in it).

Otherwise a bit patchy.

I thought some of the first series was pretty good, i half watched one episode of the new ones and i've never felt the desire to watch it again.

That was last week. This week they had a nutritionists clinic. It was very funny.

Some of the sketches are very funny. I loved the one about a technique for finding lost books the other week.

It's patchy, but which good sketch show isn't? It reminds me of the brilliant and underrated 'Big Train'.

I like the way they sometimes use ideas that could have made two or three sketches and use them all up in one sketch.

If you're trying to do stuff that is a bit different and looks at things in a new way, it's a bit much to expect that every single sketch is going to be a gem. It's not tried-and-tested. Personally, I think that one great sketch is worth half an hour of OK material. I'd prefer that to half an hour of the same old shite.

i hated the first series, don't think i ever saw the second, but the new one is better i reckon, i like the ones with the office assistant and his must not muddle up tasks :)

It's very patchy. They seemed to go downhill after they sold their souls to do those dreadful "I'm a PC" adverts.

The Sky Sports sketch was pure genius though.

There's been loads! The Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares one was brilliant, so was all the REMAIN INDOORS stuff...admittedly, that's only two more than the one you said, but plenty to be getting on with I reckon.

I liked the bit where they sat down to write all the 'miss' sketches so that viewers can say 'It's a bit hit and miss.'

I think it might've been episode 2 or 3 when it was a comfortable 75% + hit rate for me, which even the Fast Show didn't use to have. And that's PURE SCIENCE right there, so...

Actually found this surprisingly funny, The post apocalyptic "Quiz Show" and The Gordon Ramsey one really stand out.

I shat my pants with humour at the "STAY INDOORS" sketch. Mitchell's commentary over that "conveyor belt" of prizes was fantastic.

i really like the new series - it's a vast improvement on the last two - it's gone from patchy to mostly funny, occasionally hilarious
