Mistabishi 'Drop'

I think thats a bit harsh..I like his musical and jazzy take on D&B....sorry this was aimed at OU's comment about High Contrast!! doh.

I agree, but I think overall it's a better album than "Drop". Just my opinion, like. :)

I personally am hanging out for Blame's LP, i reckon that it is going to be full of WIN.

Really? D'ffrent strokes I guess :)

Not been impressed by any of his recent "big tunes" so am a bit :hmm: about that one...

well I've been off dnb for a long time as I don't think it's very creative or exciting at all anymore - not like it used to be (yeah yeah I know I sound like an old man) - but this album's had such a buzz - people saying it's refreshed the scene, best in years, blah blah blah, so I gave it a chance and not one track makes me want to jump up and down - it doesn't sound fresh or buzzing with new ideas, it's just flat and unmemorable.

Are we listening to the same album???

Even if more chilled DnB isn't your bag I'd of thought you might be able to appreciate the quality of the production going on here - deep, spacious and detailed - no...? :(

i'd love to hear "no matter what" out, cracking tune. an album doesn't have to be dancefloor smashers though. they can be a good chance for an artist to show different sounds to maybe a wider audience.

Seconded.

This is a complete album in so many ways that most DnB artist albums aren't. It ebbs and flows, has peaks and troughs, takes you on a real emotional journey (at least imo it does!). Mixing it up with some slightly more down-tempo Dubstep is the way forward imo - give the listener a bit of breathing space - "smasher" after "smasher" can be a bit much sometimes... ;)

Just listening to it now.

Printer Jam is very very cool. :D

The rest of it seems a but light for my tastes but still very well made.

Mistabishi

Great stuff! How the hell did it take me 4mths to bump into "Drop" particularly "Printer Jam".
I can see me and the boy will be loads of robotic body popping this weekend!

Got this after seeing the recommendation few days ago, enjoying it a hell of a lot

Cheers :)

High Contrast to me represents the worst of all things shit in DnB - sorry!

Well to me its the opposite, HC are abit cheesey but frankly its jump-up that is a stagnant scene that isn't even enjoyable anymore, hats off to the hospital liquid dj's at least they doing something to get new people interested in dnb.

Printer Jam!
