I read on another forum that, for a gig in Macedonia, Dave Clarke demanded a Blue Gatorade drink which someone had to drive 350km to Athens to fetch for the gig, wanted the decks to be no more than 110cm off the ground (which required building a new DJ booth) and a private jet from Spain. And then he complained that the decks were too high and didn't touch the Gatorade...

hmm not sure about that - I've played on the same bill as Dave Clarke - and whilst he isn't one of the most approachable characters, he certainly didn't come across as that much of a bellend - I think he insists on certain mixers and cd players but thats about it......I don't understand why miss kitten needs all that stuff - I saw her play in London a while ago and was deeply unimpressed.......whereas sven vath with straigthtup 2 technics and a djm600 has more charisma in his little toe.....

I don't think that her rider is unreasonable at all - 2 decks, 2 cd decks, mixer, monitors - standard stuff really- she's bringing her own extra kit, the requests for nice hotels/champagne etc is surely fairly standard too if you're a successful dj....

note she's very specific about the things like the mixer i suspect cos she's using her laptop and probably just wants to be able to plug in and go, with minimal changes to her usual setup, and maybe needs a mixer with MIDI as well as audio, of which there are not that many...

her attitude however, sounds a bit shit and i feel sorry for the punters, though maybe she was just having a bad night....

that's only for their ironing. metallica are very particular about their creases and wouldn't want hard water to damage their heavy duty irons.

She's a complete arsehole. Her antics in Derry were shocking. Bottled water too cold ffs. And no respect for paying punters at all. She played about 5 or 6 tracks for 30 minutes (meeting contract requirements) then went back to her hotel in a huff because her flight was delayed an it was cold outside.

The promoters (Deep Fried Funk) have been puttin on parties for 10 years and shes the only dj who's ever had a complaint.

Reading all of this makes me very depressed...... However it cheers me up to realise with that little list we're unlikely to be seeing her sorry ass at a pumping squat party - stick to playing for 13 year-olds love...

It's all very well having a rider but when you suck (inc Sasha pffffft-er!) why bother?
