The truth about Mishi and that letter.......
Punch up?...once got chased all the way across Figges Marsh and along the railway tracks by t*****g fans when I was about 14....
Nowadays I wouldn't even be able to make it to the bus stop!
Christ... neither would I now....
Interesting stuff Harry. You forgot to mention that Wings held the Band on the Run album photo shoot at the Tooting ground and a couple of Terrors fans appear on the cover.
Also Roy Orbison wrote 'Crying' after watching a Tooting game and Morissey wrote 'Heaven knows I'm miserabe now' after a goaless draw.
Phil Lynott had just finished 'Jailbreak' and nearly went to a Tooting game but decided to go for a curry instead.
The curry in question was a severe vindaloo served by the fine restaurant , Bilash in Cullercoats, North of the Tyne, patronised by Jimi Hendrix who demonstrated the simple, can't get that fuck out out of my head, riff of the boys are back in town which dominated Dulwich Hamlet's away games since. When every home fan saw those travelling Dulwich fans Air guitaring in their mistaken belief of superiority due to support from the gods of guitar, they sang in reply.
A hand came out from heaven and pinned a badge on his chest
It said 'get out there, man, and do your best'
I always get chocolate stains on my pants
And my father he's going crazy
He says I'm living in a trance
That 80's classic from a-ha
note young Mishi and leader of the Tooting firm (right) hackbridgeharry
'Come the glorious day'. 'Power to the people'!
