(And before you complain about what an abysmal piece of crap this is I'd like to point out that I actually paid money for it. You're getting it for free).

Not particularly minor (ex Vice Squad if memory serves), or even particularly good tbh, but I always had a soft spot for Chaotic Dischord for this album cover alone:

I have a (free) 45 single from these guys...I think one of them was a plumber or similar , who thought my cousin "had contacts" ...

Nipple Erectors - King of the Bop

Shane was a punk but in truth I was never sure whether this isn't either late pub-rock or early punkabilly.
I was at the Persons Unknown benefit where a bunch of anarchs, led by John Rety, shamed them into changing their name.

Think I'm in the crowd for this one too. Argentinian punks live in Mexico

  24. JuanTwoThree

'Severed Head and The Neckfuckers' was Kitty Lux and others, perhaps only for one night in Leeds in the 70s.

'The Cortinas' were the ones that got away for me though.

Sore Throat. Dozens of short hardcore tracks to choose from but I'm posting this from their '88 "LP" Unhindered by Talent as it was my favourite song on it.

30 yrs later and it's still relevant

Rather liked this. They later shared a single on Rok with Action Replay. Never had that one but I've just seen they have a compilation CD out this year!

There was (is?) a thriving punk scene in Mexico City. El Chopo was an outdoor punk market with live bands every Saturday. (As in the video above)

Fucking great. I went whenever I could. Saw a ton of Mexican punk

My band played here once. We started with a slooow version of the star spangled banner until we felt our personal safety was probably at risk and then launched into our set.

Fuck me that was fun. Lifetime ambition fulfilled.

Got interviewed for some paper afterward who were shocked and imoressed by the fact I'd taken to stage wearing an EZLN t-shirt

    15 minutes of fame indeed.

More punk than punk but before punk. The electric eels (lower case please) and their smash hit Agitated (recorded in '75 released in '78).

I was too young for Punk proper, so my contributions as they come are more in the realm of 80s hardcore... And on that, a third post which'll do for now. Another teenage fave...
