Minibus Size Limits on regular license

3.5 ton, 15 seater IIRC.

Edit - I have a feeling it depends on how recently you passed your test, the rules changed sometime around '97 I think.

You're fine then. You can drive up to a 7.5ton truck :D

You can. But if you want to take lots of people, you would probably be better off with a minibus!

Giles..

I disagree:

:D

ISTR there's also a limit of 12 passengers after which you need a Public Service Vehicle licence.

Edit: this may be ancient history and only if you're driving for Hire & Reward.

Not if you passed your test pre-1997 and you are not being paid. Its up to 17 people including the driver, so 16 passengers. I know about this, because I own a minibus.

If you want to drive "for hire and reward" however, you must get the PCV licence, however many people you take in your minibus.
