There are in excess of a billion Chinese people who get quite unwell if they drink milk.

This is very interesting. I've just Googled and apparently the dairy trade is growing in China. Many Chinese people are lactose intolerant though:

Significant hurdles exist, however, including the fact that many Chinese can't stomach milk. There aren't official estimates for how many people in China are lactose intolerant, but the percentage is thought to be high. The National Institutes of Health estimates that as many as 50 million people in the U.S. may have an inability to digest lactose, a natural sugar found in milk. Certain ethnic groups are more widely affected than others; some 90% of Asian-Americans are lactose intolerant, the NIH says.

I have a sensitive stomach and milk helps to settle it down.
I drink about a pint a day of fully skimmed milk mixed half and half with water and I lurve it.
Lactic fascists

I love a pint of milk in the morning for breakfast, but that's me and you can cal me a sicko if you want :) .

yes, the lactose intolerance bit is evolutionary. it is said that in the ancestors of white europeans acquired the ability to retain the breakdown of lactose by lactase, thousands of years ago because when living on the cold plains of southern russia(end of the ice age) with only cattles and not many nice veggies or animals to hunt (they'd probably hunted them to extinction), those with a better ability to use lactose for longer in life survived for longer and reproduced. the same situation would not necessarily have occured in other places, although I have heard it has.

Thats not milk, thats water with a bit of white colour to it.

Best milk I ever tasted came out of the cartons they used to sell on farms when I used to be on caravan holidays with me Mum & Dad! Out of a big cold fridge & it used to be labelled 'Untreated' ! [ ] That and a packet of digestives ! Um-yummity!!

*Never did me any harm: Proof? I'm not dead !

Oooh a nice cold glass of milk when you're hungover is lovely. :)

You're all oddballs. ;)

well said!!

what wrong with y'all?? milkl is the drink of the gods, i crave it when hungover and can be seen by the light of the fridge door at 3 in the morning necking it back, or with a bit of raspberry crusha

I fucking love milk, i'm more into the skimmed stuff than anything else. Mrs Suplex won't drink it and doesn't dig much dairy, she puts it down to being oriental. She says somthing about the west smelling of milk or butter or something.

Mind you the different brands of milk in japan taste different, not like our stuff. I have bought some that tastes puke and some that tastes like home.

I've never been able to guzzle down milk, even as a kid it freaked me out a bit.

I'll have it with cereal, that's fine (as long as there's not too much of it in my spoonful...)

Soya milk is even more fucking weird...

Mmm I love milk, but not too cold, and gotta be semi-skimmed, cos full fat is too gloopy and skimmed is like water. It's gorgeous for hot drinks like horlicks, but I'm not mad on milkshakes

awful stuff. give me soy milk any day, its far nicer. I dont mind rice milk on cereal, but it ruins coffee or tea.
