Milan - Arsenal

Perhaps they were celebrating being the first British side to beat Milan at home.

I should have thought United would have been just as ecstatic

It's not even the quarter finals ffs.

Like I said AC never do fuck all to late in the CL.

Anyway no worries, rather play a team we thumped 4-0 last time than AC.:D

Christ all fucking mighty get over your fucking selves.

The way youse were celebrating like youse had actually won the Final say's it all.

great result and to progress but mainly i was celebrating the performance, which was a masterclass and one of the best i've seen in europe. get in you gunners

Yes youse dominated an AC side that didn't show up and who never seem to show up till the fucking semi's or final. A great result, one that youse should be proud of but for fucksake that Arsenal team don't half rip the arse out of their celebrations.

Don't worry, Man utd fans just dunno how to celebrate, its why their support is so shit when they play at home.

Celebrating is done after the match, though I can see how you would get confused, what with having absolutely fuck all to celebrate in 50th years.

Still I wonder how many Man Utd fan's bet against Man Utd.

Mebbe it's because they're having fun in their quest to win stuff this season. Great to see a team out there enjoying their outstanding football. Not many teams in europe can go to the san siro and play a game like that. We undone them. In real style, and arsenal right now will be the toast of europe amongst football-loving fans.

Beating the best european side around in their home is well worth celebrating about. Such games don't come round all the time.

Plenty and plenty of pundits and 'experts' with egg all over their faces.

Why wait for just one game, and assuming you even get to that game, to celebrate? Why not enjoy it to the maximum each time a win comes? That was one of the all-time great european performances from an english club.

Top top quality game by the gunners. Those italians know they've been outclassed and outgunned.

A magnificent feeling for me at the moment. But hey, what the fuck, not worth celebrating really...

[wait till you see how they celebrate in moscow]

Getting to the quarter finals of the CL isn't and shouldn't be the basis of celebrating like that ffs!

Still this is the team that celebrated like they won the fucking league when they nicked a last minute equaliser at home to United.

Yeah, but Arsenal are the FIRST English side to beat them at home, a team that's been to the finals 3 out of the past 5 years...a sporting legend

...God you're thick...

And if we win the league by this one point margin, then their celebrations can be seen as prescient.

Getting anywhere in a cup competition is cause for great celebration, both for the feel of the victory, but also in anticipation of who to get next. Celebration is in order after every cup victory in football.

Have you seen AC Milan's home record this season, it's fucking atrocious.

Also United have just matched Juve's record for 10 european home wins in a row but you didn't see them running around like they won the cup.

Only if you're small fry with shit expectations.

Wenger will never win a european cup, he nor the teams he has made in his image have the balls for it.

In that case Liverpool has got it right by winning the Champions League, and not only is their trophy more important than Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal's Premiershit trophies, but their five European Cups make them many times a bigger, better and more important club than Man U.

Right?

eh no.

The title is your bread and butter, winning the european cup when you haven't won your league in 18 years is a hollow victory that represents nothing more than the fact youse are know a glorified cup team.

But as they were the Champions, would you say we beat "the best" in europe?

Tell that to Alex Ferguson. The only reason he didn't retire 7 years ago as he had first announced and keeps putting his retirement on hold is because he is obsessed with the CL and wants to win at least one more. Indeed, he said not long ago he believes the mark of a truly great team is the number of European Cups that sit on its trophy room, and as such Man United lags behind teams such as Real Madrid and AC Milan (and Liverpool FC of course, though I don't remember him mentioning that club by name). :D

Ferguson is obsessed with the CL exactly because he's done the other stuff so many times over. If he was managing a side who hadn't won the league in 18 years his priority would be the League.

Then he and Man U can't be that good when they have just managed to win it once (and by the luckiest two minutes in the history of the game) in more than two decades?

You can't have it multiple ways revol. Either winning the CL is very important or isn't. Either the team that wins it is the best or isn't. Either AC Milan are great or mundane. That you try claim otherwise depending on whether it was Man U or the likes of Liverpool or Arsenal who were involved is as sad as is complete bollocks.

You've got to bow down to revol's deluded sophistry on this thread. It's the kind of stuff worthy of big fish.

No the point is you have to win your league then the european cup, the european cup is a tough one to crack and be challenging for the league in the same year.

For what it's worth United have underperformed in Europe for years, seems to be too much nerves about it. Fergie definately wants the CL again before he goes but he won't do it at the expense of the league, unlike Binlid.

But anyway fuck youse all because we've done the fucking treble!!!!:D

p.s. We won the CL in 99 not in Barcelona but in Turin, the last two minutes in the final were always scripted.

but apparently they dont get going to the semis or final so they've done us a favour this year. how very kind of them.
