Mike Love's had a serious case of sour grapes for about... -oooh... the last forty years, hasn't he?

Sad.

My dad reckoned Mike Love got a bout of colic in 1968 and has had it ever since. The only other person in the music biz he has such a low opinion of is Elton John, and that only for his revisionist version of "Candle in the Wind".

Wasn't he some kind of big band leader?

When I hear the name Geoff Love, I think of those orchestras that used to play all the music on things like The Des O'Connor show. And those albums of 70's film theme tunes that you always find in charity shops...
