A bit of a cross between a Queen and a Sweet (remember them?!) tribute act IMHO. Heard him do an acoustic cover of someone else's song on Radio 1 and his voice sounded a bit like Marc Bolan in places. Basically, recycles past themes and genres and serves them up to today's youth. But if you remember that kind of stuff from the first time around (and didn't like it), it gets a little bit wearing to have to listen to someone who wasn't even born at the time rehashing it!

I saw him on The Culture Show tonight. He was shit.

I saw him on the Culture Show and wasn't impressed - dunno about Freddy Mercury, but he seemed like a camp toff to me. The 10-year-old watching with us thought he was funny, and the 14-year-old girl stopped texting and sang along annoyingly - she knew all the words and thinks he's cool.
