midwinter craft club - Sunday 16th November, early afternoon

Bring anything grub/drink-wise you'd like to share. Bring stuff for making xmas cards if you like, knitting stuff, stuff to bake if you want to bake anything.

I will be putting on a fondue and will get some mulled wine from Lidl. I'm going to be making some recycled xmas cards if anyone wants to join me! Oven will be available for peeps who want to bake.....I'll be doing a choc cake in advance for us to eat but apart from that I think I'll be sticking to the card-making. Well up for joining in any baking if peeps want to do that though! We might put some roast potatoes on as well.

Any time after 2pm.......will pm peeps the address. XxX

Really looking forward to it :D

I think the fondue should become a xmas craft club tradition! And mullered wine as well!

looking forward to seeing you - it's been ages!

Definitely! It's a bit naughty of us to have it a month early ;) , but hey.........:D we can have it at the Xmas one as well!

PMs sent to everyone with address and phone number.

I don't suppose it'd be OK to bring my ten-year-old along with me, would it? Otherwise, I might see if I can get babysitting.

Cotton wool balls are also good for quick Christmas cards, as long as you have some googly eyes too - instant snowmen, and textured cards.

So, I've agreed to come to my first urbanite outing, and failed to sort anything to actually make :D

Making xmas cards would be cool though, Ill bring what I can.

I'm not sure that homemade mincemeat is such a good idea as there are so many people coming we'd end up with a tiny jar each! What do other people think? Christmas chutney?

Will try to think of other stuff to make that's cooking as I'm rubbish at handicrafts. :D Yay for mullered wine and fondue though!

Of course, scifisam :) Will be good to see you both.

Ah - I have some in the bathroom - good idea! I have no googly eyes though. Do you? :D

I have an old London A-Z with missing pages that I'm going to cut up into nice complex little geometric snowflake shapes like this

and stick em on coloured card with a bit of glitter around it. Just an idea....could be shite but it's worth a try! :) :D

so looking forward to see everyone :)

Hello

I think it's about a year since my first and only craft club appearance :o

I might be able to come along on Sunday, if that's OK?

I have just found LOTS of knitting needles and a bit of wool that I do not need.

There are mostly the needles with no ends (i think you are suppose to use about four of them to make socks or something)

If anyone would like some can they let me know as if not I will take them to the charity shop...

:)

Are there any needles for 'normal' knitting liberty? I'm coming to craft club tomorrow and was hoping someone could teach me how to knit - not sure if that's possible in one afternoon though

Anyway, I don't have any wool or needles, plus am majorly broke at the moment, so would be eternally grateful for needles and a bit of wool to get me started. :)

ETA Does anyone have a docking station for an Ipod Shuffle (2nd gen) that they could bring along? Just so I can charge mine - you can have it back again, honest!. Bloody stepped on my docking station the other night and it won't work anymore  Am desperate to charge up the shuffle - can't believe how reliant I've become on it :o

I've got a docking station for an Ipod Classic - it comes with some attachments that fit other kinds of ipods, so maybe one of them will fit <crosses fingers>.

Oooh, I'd love some! I got a 'how to knit' book for my birthday (I'd put it on my Amazon wishlist, but my sister-in-law still phoned my GF to check 'd put it there on purpose), but haven't had time to go to a shop that would sell the actual stuff yet.
