midwinter craft club - Sunday 16th November, early afternoon

han

love is the answer
Since my rather chaotic and confused (dis)organisation of the craft club harvest un-festival, I'm just going to announce a date for this.

Before you think I'm being uber-dictatorial, this has been in consultation with some craft club peeps..... :D

So - who's in?

Eme suggests that it'd be a good deadline for the craft club blanket swop. We could also make cake, eat cake, drink wintery booze, and generally make merry :)

I'm happy to host! Also, I guess soon it'll be good to plan a date for the Craft Club Xmas Special if anyone wants to host that! But...first things first....:D

bollocks... I'm going to the theatre that day (I've only ever been twice in my life! :D)... can I give someone my swapping squares in advance, I'll trust you to swap for me :)

cool! seems like we have a posse.

Am sorry you can't make it, Bee :(

Miss Fran - Brixton Hill, to be precise...

Yep - Brixton tube. Then a 15 min walk/5 min bus ride. If the victoria line's still down then (which it may not be), your best bet is to get the tube to clapham north - it's a 15 min walk from there.

ummm, can i come? i'm now a part-time londoner again :D

I have no squares - but I can do vegan cupcakes... and i've got a wicked mulled wine recipe :) (and may have some home-brew cider by then too!)

Also, I'm learning to knit, and i reckon you lot might have some hints and tips :)

That all sounds fab. I have no squares either (even the squares I knit have holes in, I'm that crap, so have given up on knitting).

So I will be baking cakes instead so we can bake and make mulled wine - yay!

han... can I drop my squares of with you some time nearer the date? (I can bring the bunting stuff too if you want to bunt?) :)

Cheers han :)

Just thought, if you're still going to be making merry at around 7ish, then I can probably pop over after the play for some swapping/eating/drinking (no idea how long it is, but starts at 3pm).

alr-iiiiiii-ght :)

can't wait. have new vegan cup-cake recipe book now and I'm oh oh oh so excited

coool!

I've just had a brill idea!

We could make xmas cards at the craftclub if we so fancy. Just an idea, like. :)

Hmmm, yeah! Is there a way of doing it without <yuk> lard?

It's suet, not lard, and actually lard isn't that unhealthy - less saturated fat than butter. But you can use vegetable suet, which is full of hydrogenated fat I think. Lard is better (but not vegetarian, obviously).
