Not really; it's just a glorified and oversized popcorn machine on the few occasions we get round to using it.
Oh, and sometimes we quickly warm a mug of milk to add into mash, but that's about it.
Sadly, for all their promised convenience, the food coming out of a microwave nearly always tastes much worse than if you cooked it yourself - from dry scrambled eggs through to rubbery bacon, bouncy pizzas and unfluffy rice - it's nearly always a huge disappointment that makes you wish you had cooked. Even defrosted meat doesn't seem to fare that well ime - short of a for a stew or curry the meat texture always suffers.
