British anti-Americanism is a pile of shite. Like the old aristocrats who look down on the nuevo rich.

It's always been there, you can see it in novels from many years ago. It is just snobbery really, we're clever and have got history, you're dumb and new. Something like that.

Incidentally i'm british and for 25 years i've been ranting and raving about america and her war crimes and crimes against humanity. What i hate about my country is how much it lines itself up with the US over foreign policy. Which is policy to kill in order to gain more wealth.

We are historically born killers, and we just passed the baton to the US. Both are guilty of appalling crimes.

Has britain got a michael moore? Pity if it hasn't. Both countries need many more of them. I could say most of what moore says, but no-one's gonna wheel me out on cnn. He gets airtime. Whoever owns the language has the power. Or whoever gets to speak the language has the power.

They also have to speak with a certain voice. Shut your eyes when listening to a bbc news reader, and they all become the same. Cloned representatives of the establishment...

I think you understood the point, that the citizens of a country often keep track of how many of their soldiers are killed, but not of the numbers killed by their soldiers.

You won't find me defending the bbc, just cannot be trusted. I'm amazed to hear that they proactively say they are doing things right. They're just a tool.

My point, not so well made, was that when everyone, from all persuasions (not just left and right) hits on someone, then it's well worth listening to what that person has to say.

I can just see him doing what you'd like and answering "OK, fuck it, you cunts, let's call it 'communist medicine' - like we have communist fire departments"
