Michael Collins

My family is very proud of the fact that my great, great grandfather was one of his chief lieutenants and was the first to him when he was shot (or, at least, that is what family legend maintains). We have a photo of my great-great-grandfather with Michael Collins, which is remarkable given that he was understandably paranoid about ever being captured on film.

Just to add a bit of personal colour to the debate, like.

Yep , my grandfather hid Collins for a while when he was on the run & the family has a photo of him with my grandpa which he signed & dated.
