There was an album by an English rock band from the 1970s that had mice drawn on the album cover
    Anyone remember who it was?

Yes and the information we were given was completely wrong
This has driven me (and others) mad for a few months but we have finally found out the answer. It all started when a French friend came to visit and we were sitting around playing old albums and drinking. The French guy (Jack) started talking about an album from when he was a teenager, he couldn't remember the name of the band or the record but said "it was a British rock band and I remember there were cartoon mice drawn on the cover".

None of us could workout who the band were or what the album was despite us all being of a similar age and into music in a big way. We recently decided to look at bands from other countries and also decided to look at late 60's not just 70's. Anyway we can up with a couple of suggestions and put them to Jack who is visiting again. It turns out the album he was talking about was from an American band and from 1969 (you just can't trust old dope smokers memories). It was the band "Flamin' Groovies" and the album "Supersnazz". Mystery solved.

He has been suitably chastised for giving us such bad info to go on
Thanks to those who offer suggestions.

I do remember the name of the band but I'd never have guessed- glad you've found out what it was!
