I don't know why I bought it tbh. I hated the rest of them and it's not like this was gonna be a vast departure (GTA 4: This Time It's an RTS!!!1!1) but, you know, the gaming event of the year dragged me in.

That said, I do think the core game, the mission, is absolutely shite, they try to do so many things and they pull them off but they're all 70% good and 30% fucking infuriating.

It's also not as much fun as the others to just put on for a quick hooligan-ing about.

To unlock the ultimate acheivements, you have to go through without triggering any alerts or killing anyone!

I'm never goint to do this.

Its the whole comedy of it that I love, picked Michelle up last night in an Ambulance with the sirens blaring, spent the 5 minute drive to the diner ploughing into pedestrians and all she could do was mention that she preferred me with my Glasses!!!, also last night finished the 1st sniper mission & then stayed on the roof tops practising headshots, took out a taxi driver parked at the lights in his taxi who then slumped dramatically onto the horn which pierced the 'middle of the night' silence dramatically.

Don't understand why you would buy this if you hated the rest of them!

I think that that must be some sort of record. Even a 30 min cut scene is quite incredible length wise.

Surely it would be better to play a scene than just watch it, it being a game and all. I can remember a few games that gave you control back as the scene starts getting busy...

The cutscenes really are incredible though, Ive never played a MG game before but I was still engrossed.

Same. Just finished it, amazing. Probably my favourite game of this generation bar Oblivion.

Your description of playing GTA is precisely why most people love it and that kind of gameplay is what GTA's reputation comes from but I'm just not into creating my own game and the game that's already built into GTA is done a lot better in many other games.

I've just completed GTA, nearly completed Indiana Jones Lego, so I thought it was time for me to start MGS4.

My god. Graphically the best game i've ever played on a console.
