I know she's been well hyped now, but I think F+tM were robbed. Just an amazing album. I would really honestly be interested in anyone who's come up with anything similar, if anyone has any recommendations.

i don't know you know, i picked up a copy of new forms off a friend recently and was quite surprised how much it still stood up as decent music.

Tbf, I don't get a lot of time for new music so I've come to use Mercury a bit like the Booker - a listening list. Seems like a reliable souce, not too bothered who wins.

Always glad to see south London do well, though.

To be fair all the nominess were pretty shit, like most years...I like the Horrors album but it's also flawed. Florence and the Machine are dire, La Roux piss poor, Friendly Fires are okay, sort of. Speech Debelle...it's totally inoffensive fluff dressed in 'urban' attire.
