Men's jeans from the high street?

The edge of a roll of denim - in most cases it's white with a red stitch through it. Better quality denim is (generally) woven on narrow looms, and the selvedge is used in the construction - the outside leg seam, sometimes inside the coin pocket.

It's not the mark of quality it once was, but it makes your turnups look nicer if nothing else...

Got a nice pair in River Island the other week. They weren't skinny, but "Slim" fit....the first slim fit jeans I've had in about 23 years! About £45 I think.

Well, after trawling all kinds of shops/brands I ended up getting lucky at TK!

Managed to some Diesel jeans and (to my surprise) some selvedge Superdry that both fitted perfectly. I've noted the styles for future reference.

Mr s ended up getting two pairs of Levi 541s from the outlet shop. They were brilliant in there, knew all the products really well and found him some that were a great fit and length. 2 for 99 quid. [emoji41] He also got some DM boots and I'm really jealous. They were 60 quid with my student discount and I want them so badly. 60 bloody miles to go back though. [emoji35]
He's been up there getting me to help him with turn ups and lacing his boots. [emoji5]️

Quick tip - I assume it's the same everywhere as they're in the Preston and Manchester TKMaxx stores, but there's a shitload of All Saints jeans in selvedge denim for £9.99 in at the moment - I have a pair from a few seasons ago and can vouch for them being decent quality, and at that price...
