Men in kilts...Yay/nay?

Well I'm sure your dad has equally compliment-worthy knees.

I just thought I should have looked out a photo of me wearing a kilt with several other feral-looking children and an old perambulator frame we were playing on but now that I think about it may have just been tartan socks I was wearing and a pleated skirt...

I was recently indirectly described as having had a feral childhood. In the Guardian.

I did find this, though, which is me wearing a kilt in the long distant past.

Started reading my book on Scottish history again today... I'm just past the Romans and onto the Picts.

Well I asked my dad who, you may remember, goes hillwalking in Angus if he ever sees anyone wearing a kilt and he said no.

However my mother then piped up, ''Do you remember Sid Scobie? He used to wear a kilt to go hillwalking.''






''........he had a wooden leg. I think he liked people to be able to see.''






''he was blind''






''He's dead now.''

This story reminds me of conversations driving around Ireland in the middle of bog peats and nothing else . A singular house surounded by not a lot else and my ex's sister asks her mum " Does Mrs O'Neal still live there? to which the reply was " No she's dead so".

Doesn't he look cute? Don't you just want to cooch him under the chin, ruffle his hair and ask ''and what does young master teuchter wear under his kilt?'', so he gets all shy and embarrassed and hides behind his grandad?
