Meet the Yike, a super light, teensy weensy electric bike

Given the number of little cunts who have stolen or attempted to steal the petrol from my scooter over the years, the Scoota seems like a very attractive proposition right now.

The potential for murderation of pedestrians expecting a rattling wheezing noisy thing to be flying along the streets is quite high, the unobservant bastards :D

I rather like it.

I don't doubt that its got its pitfalls like anything else but its all a step in the right direction to getting people out of cars and onto bikes.

It's the kind of thing I think could work well for hiring in cities - from the train station to the office and suchlike. It could be a while before they catch on though. I can't really see them taking off outside of an urban environment either.

The more I think about this, the more it irritates me.

On almost every level it fails in terms of bicycling purpose while also endangering the poor sod who is riding it.
