I'll bet the poll breaks down into Springsteen fans and non Springsteen fans... ;):p

I believe the split is those with the ability to embrace life's joys and mysteries and sour-faced gits who who's taste is constructed with a continual glance over their shoulder :p

:D

Oh, please! I'm far from "hip"; I just like what I like, and it happens not to include Meatloaf or Springsteen. Which happens to coincide with What Is Right And Proper! :p

I had a close escape of sharing a flat with that record collection!

They offender was a sweet guy, and is still a dear friend, but sadly he has never had any taste. Unfortunately he is a musician. Luckily he's a drummer...

Saturday Night Fever is an absolute stone cold no irony classic though.

You know, I'm prepared to give that one the benefit of the doubt. I haven't heard it for years, but just the other day heard A Fifth Of Beethoven, and decided it was actually quite cool. Although I have to say a hint of post modern irony came into that analysis. ;)

Disco is one of the things I will admit I was wrong about as a youth.

My first relationship put 'Two out of three ain't bad' on a tape for me lol. Talk about message in the music :D

You just reminded me - the same thing happened to me!:D

I should have dumped him there and then. Sadly he did fall for me, and I stayed with the sorry bastard for three long years.

I used to work with a woman that I really fancied and she told me that before she went for a night out she'd play one of the first two Madness albums to get her in the mood, well I was in love. I went round to her house before a date lucky pants and everything and she put Bat Out of Hell on. I went off her.:( Superficial moi?
