McLeish wants Old Firm in Premiership

They should start in the Championship to see if they're good enough.

This is like doing something to a dead horse or summit tho'... :)

Yeah then like Brian Mawhinney said you'd have every club in League One and League Two suing the arse off the FA and the Football League for pushing them all down.

What about the soldiers song ?

give over for fucks sakes. while singing a national anthem isn't exactly my thing , few things wind me up more when some ill-informed cretin tries to equate the singing of rule britannia, GTSQ, Soldiers Song or Flower of bloody scotland with sectarianism.

Should we arrest every cunt at last night of the proms?

Celtic have done very well out of Polarising fans in Scotland and have done little to help a move away from sectarianism.

want to run this one by me?

What the Celtic and Rangers fans do is no more irritating than to spin a Mmm phrase, home counties Chelsea fans going to European games and singing Rule Britannia, No Surrender and other non-football related crap

IMHO Fields of Athenry isn't sectarian at all. Careful though, I think you'll find the bastardised Liverpool version has different (crap) lyrics.

totally agree but my point was that while people claim they are against sectarianism they generally have a view that all the songs at the old firm are the flip side of the coin and vile. my point is what is stuff that is wrong. irish politics is deemed all about biogtry which is not the case.so while all these posters attack the old firm i find that most dont really get the true picture.

we are the boys in navy
we hate the team in royal blue
we hate the bhoys in evergreen
so fuck the pope and fuck the queen

now is this falkirk song sectarian or just a piss take of the old firm?

what the fuck has blayden races to do with football?

fuck.all

however its a song that encapsulates where you are from and the background of the fans.

y'see where i'm going with this?

lots of clubs have songs that have fuck all to do with football but is used to antagonise other fans or to celebrate the background of the fans.

we have a few more - and until no-nowt PC wankers came along we used to have a proper football rivalry... that is now disapearing.

When I was a little bitty boy,
My grandmother bought me a cute little toy,
Two Sunderland fans,
hanging on a string,
She told me to kick their F*****G heads in.

Chorus:
Mackems on a string,
Mackems on a string,
She told me to kick their F*****G heads in.

Mackems on a string,
Mackems on a string,
She told me to kick their F*****G heads in.

Booooo... ban these evil songs of barcode hate...... etc etc etc....

Eh?

I was defending the old Firm you miserable cunt

Your def not coming in now

Edit to add --- that song hasnt been sung in at least a decade
