Gorski's 11 thesis on Obama victory and the aftermath...
1) Well, he was the lesser of evils!
2) America is once again leading... [When shall we see something like that in France, Germany or the UK?!?]
3) He has to jump through many hoops, as now cometh the really difficult part: changing the system from the inside...
BUT!!!
4) The financial masters are in serious trouble, weak!!!
5) And he has both the Senate and the House on his side [I hope]!!!
So, I would say, if his heart is in the right place, the right people are around him, adhering to the best of Humanity's values, then...
6) He has a working chance...
7) Given no one assassinates him..... We all hope!!!
8) He will need to do at least two things: get the central banks into state hands, away from private corporations, control the money supply and credit, i.e. control the levers of power, that is to say, interest rates and inflation - in the interest of the whole, away from particular interests!!! At least we have some control over the elected officials like him [Obama]!!!
9) For that he needs the EU, Japan and China [possibly all the BRIC countries, plus South Africa] to co-operate to arrange for a financial authority at the world level!!!
10) Also, tax the financial, speculative capital and finance the poor of the world, abolish the IMF and WB in their present form, plus transform the WTO into a UN forum on an entirely different basis...
That would give them a real chance
Strategically speaking, the next step would be:
11) The transfer of clean technologies and then maybe...
I think that is the only really realistic way of ever getting anything done, as doing it piecemeal just won't cut it...

JC you're a bigot and obviously not the only one. You see nothing at all wrong with saying things like - "You think Obama is an elitist because he's black and doesn't speak 'homey-speak'." - because that's what you prefer to think of me. On the other hand you don't see me saying things like that. No I just think he's elitist.
