Mayfair townhouse Squatted

We had an annual competition at my school called "Yes but is it art?". From this, I learned that something becomes art merely by the act of someone declaring it so.

Fair enough, its been left empty by its owners in the British Virgin Islands, at least now its got a use.

Good luck to them, on a tangent these British Virgin Islands, is the Isle of Wight one of them?

Like the fact the neighbours are pleasant too, bar a French restauranteur

"Our next-door neighbours have been really nice; they've even let us use their wireless internet," said Smith. Another neighbour, a man called Alexander, has offered the services of a cook. But not everyone is happy. Jacques Dejardin, manager of a restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Richard Corrigan, which was due to open last night, was horrified to discover this week it was directly opposite a squat.

"I'd like to see them try it in Paris"

???

I've just come back from Paris, where I lived 50m from a mahoosive squat. 'Twas very good and had clearly been there undisturbed for donkeys years.

Surprised that there are squats in Paris. I remember it being too claustrophobic for such things...

Nah there's quite a lot, have a couple of activist type mates there, we went to meet them and they left us in a bar as they had to go protect a squat! :D

From The Sun under the headline

We've won the National Squattery

“Any time I’ve spoken to them they have not acted like anarchists — in fact they are very polite, well-spoken public school kids.”

:D

I went along - it was full of 'arty' stuff and they had drawn on the walls. There was some very good quality curtains that I'd like to have. And lots of video equipment, projectors, and stuff...

They want to live like common people

No, they don't. Commonly people live in council houses, terraced suburban boxes, and in over-priced rented flats.

It is quite uncommon these days to a) squat; and b) live in mayfair mansions.

Just so you know, like.

Maybe you could ask if you could do an art installation in your own house using the curtain material :D
