Martin O'Neill - Liverpool were splendid

It's actually 7 wins and a draw out of 8 games at home this season but this thread is/was about what a specific manager thought about a specific performance.

If only people paid attention to detail and didn't attempt to derail threads to suit their own petty infantile agendas.

Innit?

I thought he was a Reading fan?

Everton drew, so he must be an everton fan this week.

He's been to a game this season you know. ;)

Rumour has it, he's going for the North London "Real" Blue Nose fan of the year award.

North London. Bristol. Make your mind up?

Anyway, well done to Liverpool. You won a home game.

As I said, I don't get excited and claim we're going to win the league after a home win.

what the fuck are you on about?

this is a thread about Martin O'Neill saying Liverpool were splendid?

Who said anything about winning the league after a home win?

:D

That you two would consider buying a programme on ebay says it all.

Anyway, I thought we were talking about how splendid Liverpool are.

You don't think Liverpool were?

They were alright. They didn't get the chance to shake off shit performances like Everton, Man U, Bolton - where they get bullied all over the place. Villa tried to look pretty and stood off them.

Liverpool don't have a player at the moment who doesn't disappear when it gets tough - including Steven Gerrard and Mohammed Sissoko - it's unexplainable really as about 6 of their players are renowned for mixing it up - but they get wet and wimp out, heads go down, shout at each other (Gerrard's the worst, have you ever seen him encourage? - crap captain in my view), and so on.

Primadonna's not up to it, and I genuinely don't think they work hard enough.

Against Villa there was an improvement, and I think the home record is their saviour (this will change if they go to another ground - and it's only plastics that want that), but Villa didn't even try to play the kind of physical football that Liverpool can't compete against (and whinge and thcweam about for months afterward).

I think O'Neill got it wrong.

On the day, Liverpool did what they had to, and did it well, but Villa allowed them to.

So basically we don't play like Everton - Warnings for not keeping their players under control, manager sent to the stands, that sort of thing?

No fool. Read the post and stop your desperate attempt at point scoring where there's none to be made.

I said that Liverpool can't hack a physical game. Are you seriously doubting this? Why don't you ask people who go?

Because it's tosh, I've seen Liverpool players mix it plenty of times.

This season?

Go on then? Because you're the only RedShite who's tried to.

Because I named 3 games where they failed to. There's others too. Sheffield Utd for one. I can't remember others...

Actually, this is the most ridiculous of your defences - I'd really like you to tell me about where they've 'mixed it'.

Really stupid, given the evidence.

Totally unexplainable!!

You trying to claim it's not a word or something?

I find it inexplicable that such a cultured person as you would say something is 'unexplainable'.
