Same here!

I'm not the best at making my daughter marmite sangers tho!

Nigella recommends mashing butter and marmite together first :)

I believe I spread relatively thin personally - but I'd like some kind of measurement before I commit myself one way or the other :)

Marmite is absolutely fuckin disgusting. Uuurgh! Yuuuck!

*Pukes*

*laps up puke with tongue*

I've spent too long with that bloody cat!

I read that as adding marmite to mash. What a horrible thought.

Marmite on baked potatoes is surprisingly good.

I have the squeezy marmite at the minute, so it's less about spreading it and more making squiggly patterns and drawing smilie faces with it.

I love marmite on hot buttered english muffins but I only like it spread thinly. Whereas my brother thinks that is the wrong way to have a sucessful marmite experience. He goes for a thick spread on his toast.

Is he wrong? Am I wrong? Does it matter? How do you spread your marmite?
When they used to do cheese and marmite punani's at the pub i work at, I dont think the 'cook' realised that she was probably putting people off marmite for good by spreading it as thickly as you'd spread peanut butter. It was disgusting, there was probably more marmite than there was cheese.

It's a yeast extract which I believe is a byproduct of making beer.

I could be wrong about the last bit though.
You're not wrong.

Totally lush and the result of brewing beer.....

Truly, nectar of the gods.

Heh. A couple of people who came into the pub and accidentally ordered a "ham and cheese punani". Immediately afterwards I was unable to do my job properly, I had to walk out from behind the bar for a minute to try and compose myself, as I tried and failed to hold back the laughter, with tears streaming down my face...

I like it thin!

This brings me back to a dare I had to do when I was 7, the story of which popped up in drug fuelled convo 2 weeks ago and left us with a funny one liner (funny at the time of course...)

I was with my sister and our two friends, we were playing Truth or Dare and I chose Dare, which was to swallow a teaspoon of marmite.

"Great!" I thought. "I like marmite, I have it on toast and crumpets sometimes".....unfortunately at the tender age of 7 I wasn't yet aware that lots of marmite = yuck. I swallowed it down and quickly realised where the "Dare" element lay....:(

"And it wasn't until I swallowed it that I realised they were the ones taking the piss out of me"

Have you met any of those people?

I have.

And if the ones I haven't met are as bad as the ones I have, I think you're in trouble....

Bunch of limp wristed, namby pamby, wishy washy, dribble a minute wusses.

Let's face it - Marmite people are hard, bad to the bone.

You sickly marmalade slurpers are sad to the bone....
