Marks and Spencer two dine for £10

I saw the offers and they look like meals for two supermodels, not real people.
They're posh meals for one - too expensive even for M&S

Really? I have a huge appetite, and my husband is a greedy builder, but we had loads of leftovers with the chicken and choc pudding deal. There was obvioulsy no wine left over though. :)

Enough for two small people with slow metabolisms or two tall people with fast ones?

Sounds good though as there's a bottle of wine which is probably the main cost.

what about for one small person with a speedy gonzales metabolism???:D

Today: Sole fillets, nice green veg mix, English cheese selection (instead of dessert), rose £10 :) Thanks for the tip-off

or chicken breasts which I got, along with Dauphinois (sp?) spuds, treacle sponge and two cartons of orange juice. Not that exciting really.

The other choice was some Indian dish with rice and nam bread which b/f doesn't eat so not worth the bother

No whole chickens this week which is what I was going to get :(

Last night I was quite disturbed by the seeming anal-ness of it but I guess it's quite a sensible thing to do really :D

If it wasn't laminated and bound in my house, it'll be covered in food and drink and binned in no time :)

It's the fact you want them in the first place ;)

We take turns cooking, there's 3 of us (4 or 5 with g/f's). It usually ends up costing me up to 30 quid everytime I cook, getting a bit pricey Credit Crunch etc :) They're fussy fuckers so printed it out, told them to cross off which ones they won't eat.

Will save me a fucking fortune every week. Saving for a house innit :)

I'll pay you to live here :D

I noticed that the M&S on Oxford Street had slightly different offers to the one in Islington - anyone else noticed this with other stores?

M&S meal deals

Depends on what is delivered to individual stores.
Have heard that M&S were experiencing supply problems with this promotion due to it's popularity.
They underestimated on certain items badly ,noticably the wine, which I would have thought was an obvious clincher in any decision to try the deal out.
We have decided a few times not to buy because the only wine left was a sparkling rose.
However, when we have been 'lucky' we have really enjoyed the meals and the choice of wine.

Yeah - to be honest I think that individual M&S's just stick those 'dine for £10' stickers on stuff they have loads of when the real stuff runs out :D I still think the offers are great though and tried loads of stuff I wouldn't normally buy. I don't drink but you can get 2 cartons of juice instead but last week Islington were offering Belgian truffles that sold for over £7 instead of wine :)

I buyed a chicken (now in freezer) and veg, a choc fudge cake thing and WINE.

Even though Im not convinced it's good value, I buyed it anyway cos Im a sucker!

I hope there's whole chickens in the walworth m&s, or there will be mayhem - the old ladies of walworth weren't happy two weeks ago

They should get their wrinkly arses down to Croydon m&s - chickens a go go in there

as well as some gammon, im sure old ladies like gammon. ladies love cool gammon.

gammon?! I hope to god they don't know that there was gammon on offer.

we never get things like that - just teeny tiny chicken breasts for two or a little lasagne. last time we had the offer, once dinner was served up dodgers and I looked at each other and said "it's not a very big tea is it?" :D :(

this is quite a funny chicken.
