Mark Ronson Version

I haven't heard it, but I reckon it needs a donk, or whatever musical humour meme is doing the rounds currently. It needs more of whatever that is...

Would I be right in thinking it has trumpets on it? And that it sounds like 60s Motown with all the goodness and soul sieved out of it, poured down the drain and eaten by a mutant 'gator or croc in the sewer?

It only very superficially sounds like 60s Motown. You're listening to it wrong!

eta: I'm listening it as "pop music"

I haven't heard it, altho I have to say I'm not a big fan of his work with Amy etc, all seems a bit contrived to me...

Me? I don't listen to much recent music. Other than DJ mixes of D&B, techno and more recently house again I'm re-educating myself in classical music...

Classical music is a puzzle for me. Keep thinking I've outgrown dance music and should explore more thoughtful music but then I hear a great tune and the dance synapses overpower the calmness needed to appreciate classical music.

Not talking about Mark Ronson here btw.

I listened to strangeways here we come for the first time last week and was surprised to hear that mark ronson track on it from the future.
