I think 'Doin' My Thang' by Zion I has some too, although they're not reall 'blaring' in the way I'm accustomed to. Every time I stop to consider this I'll hear a blast of horns in my head and it turns out to be either Scott Walker or Love.

Oh yeah, it is a great sound when used appropriately. Top of my head, what about the song Arthur Lee/Love didn't write 'Forever Changes' - are there horns in that mix?

My first thought was in "Alone Again, Or" by Love, but when The Damned did a quite nice cover of it bout 20 years ago, I think they bigged up the Mariachi horns even more!

Would the horns in "Dance the Night Away" by The Mavericks and "La Bamba" as covered by Los Lobos count?

* Incidently - when the original by Richie Valens came on the radio as I was driving through the New Mexico desert a couple months ago, I thought "wow perfect moment!"
