Very excited about this one.
Will be my anniversary of meeting many of you, most memorably B.I.G
I don't remember
Long coach ride. You sat next to me. Kept trying to make me drink your booze.
It was probably a cheap £40 bottle back in those days
Weekly occurrence for B.I.G - once in a lifetime occurrence for you Dunc. (You wouldn't make that mistake twice!)
Indeed, I'm spending a few days in Thanet this time so no coach for me.
I’m in, all being well-catching the train from Stratford. Might even be able to have a beer by then!
Shows how the transient nature of supporting a non-league club goes...one or two on there aren't regulars anymore.
Soooo annoyed that I can't make this (or quite a few upcoming games) as my band has got some big gigs coming up and I have to bloody rehearse every weekend. :/
(*not complaining about the gigs though because they're bloody ace - Paris and Germany here we come!)
NAME AND SHAME. THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGIVEN.
(Or maybe they've got jobs/family commitments keeping them away)
It was more of a generalised comment....not a criticism.
Not everyone can be a total 'Bill-No-Mates' like me...
Agreed, shame on you JD.
You're not dead then ?
For those of us not going from St.Pancras or Stratford, where’s it possible to pick up the train without going to London Bridge or Victoria. Is it Peckham Rye, Bromley, Lewisham?
Bromley for sure
Bromley South direct option. Peckham Rye or Lewisham entails a change at Gillingham by which time you’ll be losing the will to live.
I'm hoping to get down there early enough to visit the Hornby History Centre, which also encompasses vintage toys by Scalextric, Airfix and Corgi. Sod the Turner Gallery and all that highbrow bollocks.
Cheers. Bromley it is.
Sod the Turner. I would like to go to the Hornby thing but I fear we are going to get straight on the lash.
Dada poetry tomorrow at the hornby history centre
HT 0-0. A bit of a stalemate with little goalmouth action. Nyren clipped the outside of the post early on.
They could have been still playing now and wouldn't have scored. Both teams didn't really have that many shots on target.
Well that was disappointing.
shame the team didn't match the enthusiasm of the fans today, in freezing temperatures at Margate
We really needed to win that game
but only ever looked like a draw for 70 mins - very scrappy game, with hardly a shot on goal
That said we started brightly, but deteriorated
lots of wasted final balls from Hamlet when attacking
why do we seem to struggle on 3g pitches (other excuses are available)
on the upside, Rabble in great form and very load for 90- mins (at least 250 if not 300 Dulwich Hamlet fans)
one of largest away contingents we have taken away
860 in attendance, average attendance around 500 at Hartsdown Park stadium
one further comment
shame a handful (3) drunken "so called" fans chanted homophobic and sexist - comments - some directed at the Margate goalie
I have never witnessed "so called" Hamlet fans doing this and it was good to see them challenged strongly and immediately by Hamlet fans who heard it and
Pompey Dunc in particular
Hamlet fans first half at Hartsdown Park
Who were these twats? Did anyone recognise them from home games? Be good to get the fuckers banned, if so.
And well done to everyone who challenged them.
Separate names with a comma.
