Brockway said:If you're on about blood mate then Gerrard, Carragher and Rooney are Irish. I notice, they don't sing GSTQ.![]()
Harold Hill said:I don't see them playing for Ireland either.

Brockway said:You don't get ridiculous amounts of money playing for Ireland. If you did, they WOULD be playing for Ireland. I haven't got anything against them taking the English pieces of silver mind - nice to see working-class boys doing well.

Harold Hill said:Yeah if you say so - I suppose they all told you that eh lol. Or they could be like me, who given the choice, would pick England regardless.

Harold Hill said:Or they could be like me, who given the choice, would pick England regardless.
Brockway said:Playing for England is far more lucrative than playing for Ireland, Wales or Scotland. You're not going to dispute that surely? If players got more money for playing for the other home countries they would - they're only human.
Owen Hargreaves is half English and half Welsh and was born in Canada. Why do you think he chose to play for England? Better team, higher profile, bigger wages, sponsorship deals etc. I don't blame him - his choice. Wonder whether he handed his Welsh under-18 caps back mind.
Chorlton said:i'd wager that *everyone* secretly wants to play for england harry - no matter where we are born, we all yearn to play for england.
we can't help it, don't hate us for it.
