Many Parking meters blown up

you could try ignoring the meter and the subsequent ticket, as well.

[keeps well away from exploding parking meters for personal safety]

Unfortunately they tend to chase you for the ££ with bailiffs so blowing them up circumvents this...

the trouble with the libertarian right, such as yourself, is that there's no real politics at all, just greed and self-interest covered with a thin veneer.

Far from it, I know that most working class people with cars hate the parking meters/enclosures from attitude tests:eek: :D The politics are autonomous @ socialist direct action, it is collective action too because opposition and behaviour is spread all around the country. Yours is the middle class green capitalist state position which wants to tax us workers off the road::p :D :D

middle class capitalist, me?

Should I adjust my views to be in line with opinion polls/focus groups-- er, sorry, "attitude tests"? That's not what you meant, is it?

If you can't justify your position except to say that you support those who act against the state, your politics become incoherent. Indeed libertarian populism in support of anyone who autonomously opposes the state means you really ought to be out there supporting those defying the foxhunting ban. Since that's hardly the position you've taken in the past, I don't think that's what you meant either.

As in all such matters, you need to ask "who benefits" and in this case the road lobby- Esso, Ford, McAlpines, the RHA etc- will applaud nearly as much as they applauded the fuel duty protesters.

Its the class composition in this case, my support begins and ends there, with working class people acting against the state... There was a very developed theoretical position too, but you know nothing of the enclosure debate anyway...:p
