Manchester Utd. vs. Arsenal Sunday 4pm

crikey we were all over them!

dominated the whole game and apart from a few scares (Jens you legend) we were by far the better side.

adebayor still looked a bit part player but he won us the pen and scored so i'm really pleased for him.

come on you gunners!!!!!!!!!!!

Blimey add the ARSEnal quiet loud crew to the mix and we'll have one hell of a silence on our hands!

I was at the game yesterday, and not for the first time it was very quiet at Old Trafford. But the Arsenal away fans were giving it loads and a great atmosphere in that corner, even before we scored. Loads of noise - although quite a few of the chants related to Ashley Cole.

Any amusing ones you'd care to share with us? :)

It was mentioned on Five Live that some of those chants were homophobic.

i don't know if you saw it serialised in the times but the english was well bad. with all that cash he's been gunning after you would have thought he could afford a ghostwriter.
i can't say i've ever seen a book with something something described as 'well good or well bad' when it's not part of the dialogue

homosexual references - to the tune of ten green bottles - one man went to bed, went to bed with Ashley, two men went to bed, went to bed with Ashley, two men, one man and his mobile phone, went to bed with Ashley

repeat etc etc

Surely that's "One man went to mow?"

It will be really interesting to see how Man Utd deal with this. IMO, as a Gooner, I thought that Man Utd looked more or less rubbish for large stretches of the game. That mediocrity was personified by Rooney. Large parts of the game just passed him by and he didn't see to have his usual passion or work rate. This was their first tough fixture and they just didn't perform. Given that they have some tricky champions league and premiership fixtures coming up, now is not the time for them to drop off the pace.

As for Arsenal. We were superb. But more of that in the Arsenal thread. Suffice to say that Rosicky was superb, Baptista looked intimidating and Fabregas is taking his game to the next level. I reckon he'll be a future Arsenal captain.
agreed with all of this with 2 caveats;
1) it's only one game, out of 38.
2) given the chances we had, we shoulda scored more, and unless we start doing so, and achieving a higher conversion rate, it will cost us dearly
