Manchester United 17/18: Reigning Europa League Champions, EFL Cup and Community Shield Holders!!!

Guardiola can be a fragile character. And his team can be too. The 20 minute melt down at Liverpool was followed by the lead being wiped in even less time at the eithad. Previous to Wednesday all the talk was of much Guardiola had improved players like Stones, Otamendi and Sterling. Well, it looked very much the same old 'flatter to deceive' Sterling in the first half on Saturday. Otamendi in a nightmare second half also looked like the Otamendi of old. And Stones? Stones wasn't even in the squad! The truth is the weakened team was picked by a weakened manager.
Better refereeing would have given citeh at least 1 penalty and seen United down to 10 men. Your evidence of pep being fragile is limited in terms of this season and if yesterday had played out as it should, even more so.

Look like it, another meltdown and got himself sent off tonight. Bad offside decision alright but his team needed him then

Pep has been extravagantly praised for improving Sterling, Walker, Stones, and Otamendi. Sterling (apart from where he appeared to tug at and then barrel into VD for first goal, spent the rest of the night misplacing crosses and diving. Walker had a nightmare at Anfield and partly culpable for Liverpool's second goal. Otamendi. Nightmare. Again. Even it was 'just this season' the evidence of a core fragility is beginning to mount up.

Next up. Spurs away...

I'll admit, today is a good day to be talking about Pep's meltdowns. :)

citeh 0-0 with a couple of minutes to go. Goes against the grain, but I hope they get one and get 100 points. Not me weakening on the noisy neighbours, more of an ocd Don Bradman thing, it's always rankled with me that he ended up on 99.9.

... did I just make that happen?

I actually want those scouse cunts to win the champions league in two weeks, but otherwise he's got a point. :D
