    Better refereeing would have given citeh at least 1 penalty and seen United down to 10 men. Your evidence of pep being fragile is limited in terms of this season and if yesterday had played out as it should, even more so.

    Pep has been extravagantly praised for improving Sterling, Walker, Stones, and Otamendi. Sterling (apart from where he appeared to tug at and then barrel into VD for first goal, spent the rest of the night misplacing crosses and diving. Walker had a nightmare at Anfield and partly culpable for Liverpool's second goal. Otamendi. Nightmare. Again. Even it was 'just this season' the evidence of a core fragility is beginning to mount up.

    Next up. Spurs away...
