quite a few Manchester bands getting some attention at the moment.
Theres recently signed Twisted Wheel www.myspace.com/thetwistedwheel supporting Ian Brown, Happy Mondays, Reverand and the Makers etc*recomend 'she's a weapon'
The Courteeners are (apparently) the next libertines/oasis/arctic monkeys etc etc. im not a massive fan but they have a few good songs*recommend 'acrylic'
and the brilliant Ting Tings who are doing great at the moment (jools holland performances etc).*recommend 'thats not my name'
there quite a few other bands up and coming around here at the moment. not that manchester hasnt always had a great music scene but there seems to be (especially from people like NME) a bit of a focus lately.
which can only be a good thing i suppose
anyone enjoying any of these bands lately or think of any other artists up and coming from Manchester?
