manchester city and thaksin

I don't think Thaksin can be extradited from the UK to Thailand as I don't think there is a mutual treaty in place, but if this episode goes as it looks likely to go then Citeh fans are going to be very, very sorry that this man was ever allowed to get his hands on their club.

He can be extradited, because there is indeed a treaty in place, and at the moment the UKG recognise the democratically elected government of thailand.

This is what makes it all very interesting to see how things will proceed! If the Thai Government ask for extradition it is very very difficult to see how the UKG can refuse! That, however, is a big if, and one that i assume thaksin feels won't happen.

But funny things have happened recently with the judiciary over here in thailand, and all for the better.

I think things are going to get very hot under the collar for thaksin.

to be honest i should have phrased that better, i was referring to the ones who welcomed him with open arms, gave him the nickname and sang songs about the cunt, their was even one on this forum who justified the welcome because of uniteds success or some other bullshit, i don't want to nit pick but you can't put the glazers on the same plain as shitiwara or whatever his name is and at least united fans did protest at glazers take over or some did

I wasn't putting the Glasers in the same basket as Sidebottom. Was just saying that the United fans did a lot of protesting against them and at the end of the day it meant nada. At least they had a go but then again they were in the position of having a successful and financially buoyant club and there were real fears that the Glasers could fuck that up.

Whereas you and I could have probably looked after City better than some of the chairmen before Wardle came along and was a decent stopgap.

But to make it clear: I was disappointed by some of the City fans' response to Shinawatra. Like, sing about the new manager, the new star players by all means but singing songs about a chairman and a well dodgy one at that....:hmm:

It's hard not to want to laugh, but I really think it's pretty terrible. For Hughes, the players, the fans... the powers that be really should be doing more to prevent this sort of thing occurring when new owners come in for clubs. I'm not sure how, as has been pointed out above, and certainly not sure the supporters could have done much. But still, football life wouldn't be the same without a Citeh...

why should we be ashamed? what the fuck could we have done?

look how far the United protests against the Glasers got them and as for a City of Manchester FC playing in the Sunday Leagues......

There's a ready-made side waiting for you. Maine Road in the North West Counties league.
