Manchester City 22/24

It looked like Walker got outpaced by whoever the Spurs winger was for the fourth goal yesterday. Even when he'd got up to full speed it looked like the gap was growing a little. I can't remember that ever happening to him. He's 34, so I guess is liable to lose half a yard.

Timo Werner - a man who who has one asset only to his game, namely searing pace. That's Adama Traore and Werner in quick succession who have outpaced a man who only a couple of years ago would be more than a match for anyone.

The Kop blasting out you're being sacked in the morning at Pep... :D
I notice he was doing a 6 finger thing, 6 Prem titles I presume. Fair enough, but that's pretty much channelling Jose's rants at the press when he was at United. Not a great look.

Indeed. You look rattled no matter what you’re saying.

I see Haaland has got a contract worth about a quarter of a billion over the next 10 years (basic). In pure footballing terms, that's better value than some of United' daft contracts, though 10 years is a very long commitment, even if he's only 24.

But, fucking hell, modern football. :(

RIP Tony Book. Great player, but an even better back story, only arriving in Div 1 in his 30s.

I had to laugh at the bit in Simon's article about every kid wanting to be Bell or Lee or Summerbee. As a no nonsense right back and skipper of the school team, I thought Tony Book was the business.
