Manchester City's Raheem Sterling, 24, is refusing to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions - worth £450,000 a week - unless manager Pep Guardiola also commits his future to the Etihad Stadium club.

Away to Burnley tonight.
Not an easy game but likely a City win on paper.

On Amazon Prime so could watch :hmm:

Given how much money they have, deducting points for that is going to be the only suitable punishment.
Abhorrent behaviour from a small section , whose behaviour is already being condemned by other City fans, and hopefully both club, other supporters and the EPL will come down hard on . However I’ve never seen a clubs punishment depend on how little or how much money they have .

41 year-old Anthony Burke is currently assisting the police with enquiries into an incident which took place yesterday afternoon at the match between Manchester City and Manchester United. His employer, Kier Group, have also stated that they are investigating whether there is any connection between Mr Burke and the incident concerned.

Guardiola:
Man Utd have the quality to defend and the quality to attack on the counter-attack. That's the level we face against Liverpool, Man Utd, Barcelona, Real, Juventus. They're the teams we have to face and the reality is maybe we are not able now to compete with them.
What a whiny response to a couple of poor performances

Think he might be starting to think about a 'new challenge' for next season?

Maybe conceding the league to focus on the big elusive prize?

Also quite a refreshing truth tbh. They couldnt defend well enough against Liverpool and Man Utd and at times they struggled against Chelsea.

One of the pundits on the football daily podcast said they don't deal well with adversity
Dont deal well with losing to Utd at home. Year before last they didnt have to deal with any adversity in the EPL they swept all in front of them, last year I thought they dealt with a very difficult and combatative title race very well. This year has just showed how getting the transfers right , especially at centre half for them, is crucial.

The inflatable bananas in the 80’s was supposedly a protest against Man C fielding black footballers.

Plus I remember sitting in the Kippax a few times with my uncle, 96/97 and the fans were hurling appalling racist abuse at Richard Edgehill. Local lad and came through the juniors.

Another 2+ odd years old article related to football (obvs not the media darlings of Anfield road). Anyone would think he was bitter.

Raheem Sterling (of Manchester City): Manchester City fans banned for racist abuse

(Source: MEN Media)

Ian Baldry, 58, admitted to shouting racist abuse at Raheem Sterling during a home match against Bournemouth on 1 December 2018. Baldry pleaded guilty at his hearing last year and claimed that Sterling was his 'favourite player'.

(Source: MEN Media)

James McConnell, 57, made racist remarks towards players, stewards and a fellow fan who told him his behaviour was "unnaceptable".

Not just a little bit of a slag, but a total slag.
Are those pictures the same person or the two mentioned in the article? I'm really confused.
