Man walks 18 miles in the snow

Surely the cost of the commute from Ashford to London obliterates any savings from not living closer or working at local hospital on lower wages?

Mr VM used to work with him. He says this story doesn't surprise him as the man really loves his job and is a top fella all round.
I like a happy story. :)

Nice one. The only person I know who also tried really hard to get into work on Tuesday is also a radiographer.

or else get a job in a closer hospital in for example Canterbury, Ashford or Tunbridge.

What would the London hospitals do for staff then?

I love the phrase key workers.

Key workers can get assistance to purchase accomodation in places like London.

What Key workers really means "A worker who job is important to day to day running of things but not important enough that we want to pay them a decent salary so that they can afford to live here".

Yup. Although of course the assistance they get is only for tiny flats with no outside space.

Not if he's bought a place.
