Man Utd have won the premiership

I get the impression sometimes with Sky that they repeat sports news stuff from other places, so you sometimes get somewhat conflicting reports from one of their pages to the next.

But as far as I've read, he's going on loan for the rest of the season. I don't think it's much of a scoop or anything, so Sky may not have taken much notice of it. It must be something like that, cos it can't possibly be something that I've heard about first. Never, ever happens...

:D

It was them that mentioned weeks ago that Sunderland wanted him. I'm glad if it's true - though from another story on that link you posted it seems Fergie thinks highly of him and wants him for the ManU team - maybe as early as next season. That's a pity - I mentioned I'm the only one in my family doesn't support that team.

au·thor·i·ta·tive (ə-thôr'ĭ-tā'tĭv, ə-thŏr'-, ô-thôr'-, ô-thŏr'-) pronunciation
adj.

1. Having or arising from authority; official: an authoritative decree; authoritative sources.
2. Of acknowledged accuracy or excellence; highly reliable: an authoritative account of the revolution.
3. Wielding authority; commanding: the captain's authoritative manner.

I can't be arsed to engage with you properly because your opinions are such demonstrable twaddle. Stop assuming it's because I have no answer to you please, it's too funny.

Enlighten me JTG when was highly reliable synonymous with an event occuring?
Lets give it a rest, I'm tired of you.

The BBC mentioned that fergie was keeping evans a few days ago. Sunderland will get a play off spot and keane will use his Man utd connections to get the best youngsters around. Do you think he will go for rossi if Newcastle fail to give him more starting chances.

No, because Rossi's loan deal expired Jan 1st and he returned to Manchester United.

Fergie quoted as saying that Rossi will have 'a part to play' in the title run in.

he keeps chatting about rossi. He seems to love him big time, but he didn't say _which_ title run-in did he?

He is probably talking about one 5 or 6 years away. With a bigger, stronger squad than Chelseas - or probably any other Premiership club, you'd think he'd lend more of these youngsters out to get first team experience. He could always recall them if he had an emergency.

There's a few times this season when I wouldn't have minded having Rossi on the bench as an option, particularly when Solskjaer was out. There were times when United fielded their first team and didn't look like scoring and their options from the bench offered... not much in terms of attacking creativity (Fletcher, Evra, O'Shea, Silvestre, Kuszczak for example). I'm not sure Rossi would have been able to have a huge affect on say the 2nd half of the Chelsea game, when Mourinho brought on Robben and it completely changed the game and put Chelsea largely in charge of play. But he'd have offered an attacking option, at least.

It is a big squad this season on the face of things, but quite a few of those players have no first team experience and are mostly playing in the reserves and there are quite often several players out on loan, but I can't deny that the big clubs desire to keep young talent and then often under-use the players is of little help to the smaller clubs who would be more likely to be able to offer them games regularly and thus benefit themselves from their talents.

United have just sold David Jones to Derby County, who I thought looked a decent midfielder from what I'd seen of him.

As for Jonny Evans, ZAMB, the BBC says the loan to Sunderland is a done deal (inasmuchas a net report that brief is "worth" anything...). Good luck to him, I hope he gets to play plenty.

I know, Keane mentioned it in an interview on Sky - but I haven't been on-line for the last few days. All I've seen of Evans has been in a few international games - but he was outstanding then, and should improve with playing regularly in the UK.

Best team in the world my arse. 1 shot on target in 94 mins at home to Boro. Scraped a draw.

Are Milan better than Boro?

Credit where it's due - Boro played excellent defensively.

Aye - Woodgate might possibly be the thickest bloke on the planet - but he is probably one of the best defenders as well.

Think Man u might regret this result - as much as I hate them the thought of Chelsea doing some kind of treble or more just sickens me.

Don't worry, Glenn Roeder would like to point out that Newcastle haven't lost at home to any of the top 5 this season and they've beaten Chelsea at home 2 games in a row (forgetting at this point Chelsea are normally having a title victory party in the centre circle)

This morning it was Manchester United's title to lose, and Chelsea's to win...now, I'm not so sure. I can't see beyond Chelsea hammering the arse off Newcastle tommorrow.

Agreed. NU will put up a fight as they always do but I can't really see anything but a massacre. Their only (semi-) realistic chance would have been a fit Michael Owen.

Are you sure about that? What about carling cup?

Toon 0 Chelsea 0 – start celebrating United fans, we had a chance to reduce the gap to a point and we fucked it up totally. It's all yours, I think...
