Despite the fact it was over the line and even if it weren't, cech would have been off and Liverpool would have had a penalty, chelsea shouldn't have been anywhere near the game in the first place, they need to shut the fuck up about it and think themselves lucky they were allowed to play Bayern(?) or Liverpool.

What happened on the way to probably the greatest final of all time is a real shame, chelsea cheating, AC (as it now looks) probably fixing the second leg against inter, who knows what would have happened if the game were honest.

the ball wasn't over the line though and their was no guarantee that liverpool would have scored the penalty or won the game if cech
had been sent off, but you did end up winning because you were awarded a goal when the ball didn't cross the line.

this is not about chelsea this is about whining fuckers going on about conspiracies and bias against their teams while ignoring or denying every bit of good fortune or bad refereeing that goes in their favour

like that diving cuntrag Gerrard against Sheffield United last season.

The people going on and on in the manner you describe have no concept of how stupid they look.

Well, see, it was over the line though. That there was no guarantee of this or that is irrelevant, chelsea still needed to score to win, which they didn't, they should not have been playing in that game, and if you'd given them the choice at the time they would have taken the goal rather than a red card and a penalty, surely ?

I'd say it's more about some very, very, very strange people who have been saying "mistake, luck, mistake, mistake, luck" over and over for the past ten years.

oh absolutely, I'm just delighted that in this case we are confronted with a whining Liverpool fan right here under our very noses.

we will have to agree to disagree on that particular game, i am not sure what you mean in your second para

yeah, got to admit i am enjoying this as well :D

No team would take a goal rather than face a penalty, red card or no. That's just a stupid thing to say.

oh piss off, you can't possibly be defending this 'boohoo everyone's against us' crap, especially when it comes from the biggest clubs in the land. It's fucking laughable.

absolutely. I agree with you. I just thought you both sounded a bit smug. :)

We can.

How long can you use the same excuse for ? some people have chosen to draw a line. That doesn't make them delusional, conspiracy theorists or anything else.

Supremely nonsensical.

see, I just sort of turn up, watch the game, go home. during the game there may be dubious penalty decisions/non-decisions, offsides that aren't given or shouldn't have been, outright weird or perverse decisions made by refs etc etc etc

We whinge, we moan, we consider ourselves bloody lucky the ref never saw that sly ankle tap on their winger and wonder where on earth they get these fools from. Invariably the standard is lower than the refs they get in the top flight and for some reason the crappest refs at our level get promoted to do Big Football in a year or two

What we don't get is 57 different camera angles on every single incident, debate on how on earth the referee never saw that (as we view the incident slowed down by about 100 times and digitally enhanced - we should obviously get robocop to referee the fucking games) and reams and reams of newsprint devoted to what is ultimately a human being making a mistake (or not, given that so many people seem to think he didn't today).

We are very much happier for this because we don't convince ourselves that we're the victim of some dark conspiracy against us, even though we've benefited from just as many dubious decisions in our favour recently.

You're all mad.

Great post and very true.

I've seen some shocking decisions against us at Northampton and we have got away with some ridiculous ones as well. Thats what i like about this level, you can discuss the game over a pint afterwards and even then there is still doubts and different opinions!
Thats football for me, not sitting at home (as 90% of Manure fans do) in the armchair watching sky and swearing at the poor ref forgetting the technology we have and he doesn't. Its funny.

2 small points

1/ This thread is not about chelsea

2/ I am not any sort of "boy" - wrong sex, and I don't meet the age requirements either. I suggest you keep your inappropriate insults to yourself.

And I suggest you fuck off and get over your United obsession, maybe even to the point where you post about the team you "support" occasionally, but what are the chances?

:D

What are the chances that you will post on-topic, which I did, rather than indulge in these continuing puerile personal attacks?

The rest of my family are fanatical MU supporters, but they do acknowledge that MU players sometimes foul up or get special treatment by referees. With you , and some others here, it seems to be a case of 'my team right or wrong' instead of recognising that, like all humans, they can make mistakes or do things wrong sometimes. Or are you of the same opinion as their manager, that 'special' players deserve special treatment?

Then you should meet his 'Internet friend' ChrisFilter; this one's MO is the attempted patronising put-down with a laughing smiley at the end, the other rambles on about fucking your sister and other personal shit.

Sort of the Internet's Mr. Wint & Mr. Kidd - weird as fuck.

> < Is this where the laughing smiley goes ?
