Early in investigations it's hard to get the police to say anything conclusive, as that could limit the amount of information they get back and lead to what ends up being used as evidence being challenged in court. Ie, a barrister could say, how can you say this was a robbery when on date x you told the BBC it was a black-on-white race attack?
But you're right, it's odd they don't say the suspects are black.

This reminds me of the Chip Attack guy story just after 7/7. Some guy, out with his missus on a night bus, asks some bloke to stop throwing chips at people in front of him on the bus, get's stabbed about 20 times by the guy throwing the chips.

According to a post on the Crystal Palace bbs (www.cpfc.org - thread is called 'stabbing at Gravel Hill' on General Chit Chat), the victim - Billy Ward - was, "found guilty in Sept 2005 of being involved in a hate campaign against a family of Somali immigrants. He was convicted of setting fire to a car and intimidating a female witness. He denied both charges".
I can't find an authoritative source though, but the post was a couple of days ago and it's not been challenged (and there seem to be people on there who knew him or his family).
Nothing justifies this kind of random stupid killing but if the above is true, it puts a different slant on the incident.

I'd say 99% of people don't think like that - you just get that vocal 1% who make the loudest noise.

yeah... it's probably quite disrespectful but I did find it slightly amusing that one after another both girls posted how they would miss their "cuddles"... and then the penny dropped..

that's some thread on there
i was born on Forestdale over 30 years ago but we moved away it's had it's problems as long as i can remember. People have short memories saying 'Croydon has gone to shit now' etc etc.
