man smells

Mr loo puts this on when he's around folk that won't appreciate his man smell

It's nice wearing manly smells as a woman though. The Shay and Blue I wear is more of the man end of unisex but still works on women.

I've always had you down as a Mrs.

I AM a mrs but those are the men's smellies which I like - not necessarily on a man either, I wear a number of men's perfumes myself ( but have to be careful which ones, because the woodier-muskier-stinkier ones are way too butch for me)

Some scents work for women and men but it depends who's wearing it. Mrs Spy tried one of mine once and whilst she liked it, I couldn't stand it on her. She wasn't what I associated that smell with.

In the 80s there was a spate of so-called unisex scents, CK One and others. They were all horrible.

I can't abide floral scents on women or men but I think smell is one of the most obvious signifiers of gender. Female scents are extremely obvious, as are male ones, I think.

Things go a bit wrong when people start mixing and matching!

The mrs found me this ages ago. I hadn't worn aftershave in 20 years, but this stuff is amazing. People comment. I wear it as much as I can afford

Creed Aventus is my no.1 - expensive but bloody lovely.
Then either Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male or Scuplture.

what you wearing atm, lads?

I've got Sartorial by Penhaligons

I also picked up their scent library, so have others to wear

I've currently got Endymion and No.33 by Penhaligons and was probably going to pick up Sartorial next.

I've also got Green Irish Tweed by Creed which I've been buying for 20 odd years now and still love.

I have endymion as a sample, properly love penhaligons colognes

can thoroughly recommend sartorial, especially if you have ever worked with fabric and steam presses, it always changes on my skin and smells of something else, you get the metallics at the beginning and it goes through different phases of smell, the best bit is when it smells like ironing

it's totally a new suit smell.

their juniper sling is quite tasty
