It gets all stuck to my teeth when I bite it - which is both icky and lovely.

I *hearts* malt loaf :)

When I bought my bread maker, back in days of yore when it was cool to buy bread makers, it came with a recipe for malt loaf, which I foolishly made.

It basically turned out like a sweetened normal loaf with fruit and malt. Hmmmm :hmm:

It was lovely though :)

That's wierd - i've just got back from the shops and Malt loaf was in offer and eating sme as we speak!! Luurvly with butter on - reminds me of being a wee nipper!

Right, that's it. I'm going to have to get Mr Paw to stop at the supermarket on his way home. I need malt loaf :o

Mr Paw is having problems tracking down malt loaf. He hasn't gone to the supermarket, so he's looking in various little shops on his way home. He's a good man :)

It's yum, you have to have loads of butter on it. By a pack of Soreen and enter a whole new world of tasty, filling, easy snack magic.

Malt loaf rules.

I have never eaten malt loaf. Can someone explain the taste to me, please?

It's not so much the taste as the texture that makes it irresistible. It's kind of .... claggy. Sticky and gooey but slightly firmer round the edges. It taste good too, kind of rich dried fruity and treacley. I think you should get some. It's 90% fat free, but laden with sugar :D
