I bought it on DVD :D Just had to have it!

It always makes me wish I could go to that party :o I love that they have a house party just to dance, not to get pissed or take drugs or whatever. That seemed so novel when I first saw it as a teenager.

I can't dance, and I seem to dance less and less. But I enjoy it, don't give a fuck what people think as a rule (northern soul clubs excepted, and even then after a few pints I decide I'm going to 'show them a thing or two'.)

:mad: that fucking tune, that fucking dance!:p

(it was all over Holland for about 3 months - like the crazyfrog tune in the UK).
Its all new to me! Its fukn MIGHTY! :D
I need to do a tour of jump clubs in Belgium and The Netherlands! My yellow jumpsuit is coming with me! Perplexis, you in?

Good Gawd yes !

I have to confess I was eased into it via copious amounts of ganja and dancing in the corner of raves with my eyes shut, but I've progressed past goa trance via house, back to the disco and Motown of my youth.

The kinaesthesia is in my muscle memory now - I feel like I'm dancing even if I'm not ....
Though on a good night I'll pick up moves from other punters, I still can't get away from wanting to face the front rather than other people ...:(

Fact: my friend and I used the pause and rewind buttons with wild abandon, and copied down the entire rap from the party.
We then...<shudder> tried to learn the synchronised dance.

:o:o:o

I love dancing, even though I am shit at it. Who cares? When the music's right, it's total catharsis. And these days that's true even when sober

innit.

I went watching CSS a while ago, in my students union (I don't often go in there), on my own.

I stood at the back, completely sober, with only normals around me, dancing my face off.

It was proper cool.

No time to read this thread yet.

But as some Urbanites know, I can, do and will dance .... even after only a bit of beer. Or more! :D ;)

Not very well, but at least I do it at all ;)

Has to be good music mind ... :p

This is now officially one of my favourite threads. Ever! :)

Was dancing like a fool at a mate's birthday t'other day: was later told that half of the pub thought me and me mate were gay becuse, obviously, straight men don't dance.:D

stop flirting with me and dance :D

:mad::mad:

I suspect I've missed out on shagging action over the years due to this line of reasoning  Girl flirts with me, asks me to dance (considering this to be a natural next step in the flirting I think), I'm left with one of two choices:

(a) Refuse to dance with Girl. This leads to:

(a)(1) Girl thinking I have lost interest, which leads to Girl wandering off to talk to other boys.

or

(b) Join Girl on the dancefloor. Two minutes later Girl notices I am bored/looking around/not making an effort. Which leads to...see (a)(1)

Oh the trials and tribulations of being a non-dancer! :(

ditto.... which is why it took me 'till 35 to really get into it - a quick look at 70s top of the pops will illustrate my lack of enthusiasm for it back then - and of course I was a lonely teenage nerd with hormones ....
Maybe if my parents had been cool and I hadn't been brought up in provincial suburbia I might have discovered the underground ....

... still, there was punk and reggae of course ... (but no ganja :( )
