I'm told the beaches are very nice.
I'm not gay so the gay clubs won't hold much interest for me but I will try a beer or two as I won't be driving much.
I will pop into singapore but I'm less interested in the place unless you can tell me better.
South thailand is great. Best places are well away from the tourist traps.

They are gorgeous but if you don't like sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling, diving you might get a bit bored, so take a good book

I have yet to find a place in Malaysia I don't like. I will try hard but I don't think I'll manage if last year is anything to go by.
I have been very lucky in that I have met loads of people from malaysia here in england and will be meeting many of those that have returned. I will also be meeting friends I got to know last year and stayed in touch with.

Went on the Night Safari with a friend of mine, and they simulated the forest at night. Very dark, very quiet, very peaceful, so quite you can hear all the night creatures.,,

And then my mate's mobile rings. "Hello Mum... Sorry, I'm at the zoo... Can I call you back...?"...

2000 as well I think (or it could have been 2001) - not sure, been to Malaysia 3 times but only to Perhentians once.

Think you'd be shocked at how many new hotels/beach huts etc. there are. I only know this as I regularly look the place up

There was a beautiful secluded beach on Besar which I'd imagine won't be long before there's hotels there

Picked up a tourist map last year and all the places I fancy are well off the beaten track so it may be a good idea.
