Making tea

I never put the milk in with the bag, but I know some caffs where you can get a mug of hot, milky water with a teabag floating in it. ;)

To be avoided at all costs! The one cardinal sin when making tea is to put the teabag in with the milk.

I do make 'proper' tea from time to time, but tbh usually it's a teabag in a mug. :o

hear hear.

posh hotels who serve up a thermos of tepid water alongside a wooden box of teabags

"please may I have some tea made with boiling water?"
"Yes sir, this water is boiling"
"where are the bubbles then?"
"Well it was boiling when it went into the flask"
"It's supposed to be boiling when it hits the leaves"
"It is boiling, sir"

OK then I suppose I'll just have coffee even though it's fucking tea-time....

Aye, you're right, even places that ought to know better are serving tea the wrong way.

I hope to be serving up real tea (and cakes) at my new alternative cabaret club next month. I just hope the Bread & Roses owns a Jackson.

Speaking of tea time, the tea break vanished from the workplace and no one even noticed it.

I know something that's worse than all the things we've described on here: tea granules...who the hell came up with that idea?
