Making offers on houses

Bob_the_lost - Due to the vendor's solicitors inaction after my offer was accepted I missed the deadline for giving notice on my flat. Hoping for mid November now :(

My other half has moved in with friends to be closer to her new work, i still have the flat (which is sparsely decorated with random half full boxes, some for moving and more from dominos) and haven't given notice yet, we're likely to have at least a week of overlap but probably no more than two which i can live with. It helps our landlord is fine with 30 days notice, not notice from a particular day of the month.

Completion on friday!

We lost about 2 weeks thanks to the Surveyor taking their sweet time. We were pretty much the simplest case you can possibly get, no chains and a boring house. Still, plenty of time for things to go wrong!

Thats really quick. My remortgage - not moving, just changing mortgage to a new company, has been going on since April, hoping to complete today. The solicitors appointed by the new bank are muppets, they've ballsed up everything, can't ever find the account details using their own references and have now lost our passports.

Moved in on Wednesday. Desperately need an electric cooker so shout if you have any recommendations. I also need a mini freezer.

At least I have my hifi set up :)
