Make me a Muslim

When I first saw the title, I remember thinking "what are you going to make a Muslim with? Is it like baking a cake or something"?

<gets coat> :D

It was utter toss...

An oppertunity missed so that yet again they can have comdey slapstick immans and portray nothing but the utmopst engaitive aspects of islam to a daily mailesque auideince...

There were asepcts which were factually incorrect. which were based on cultral identiy not religous ones (head covering etc). and some backward thinking and ill judge comment.

Theyhaven't choosen moderate musilms asking reasonable people to live with a set of rules but treated it as a relgious verison of wife swap...

so we'll learn nothing and it'll only serve to reneforce all the traditional sterotypes...

it's a POS...

IMHO it wasn't a patch on "The Retreat" which put practising Muslims, cultural Muslims, and nonMuslims together on a Sufi retreat, and certainly asked nobody to cover up (except at prayers) more than they felt ready to.

Just needed to add something to this: in the west it was common practice for women (and men) to cover up in public until about the 1920's. Then, in the 50's, the bikini arrived.
